Does the City of Vaughan clear my driveway?

Not all of it. The City clears part of the windrow at the end of every driveway after the road is plowed, so a car can get through. The rest of the driveway, hardened snow and the windrow left by sidewalk plows are the homeowner's job.

Should I get a seasonal contract or pay per storm?

A seasonal contract covers the whole winter and usually puts you on a regular route. Per-storm clearing means you only arrange it when you need it. Contracts suit people who want it handled all winter; per-storm suits lighter winters or occasional needs.

When should I line up snow removal in Vaughan?

The fall, before the first big storm, is the usual time to sign a seasonal contract, since many companies fill their routes early. Per-storm help can be arranged any time, but options shrink during a big snowfall.

Can a snow removal company push snow onto the street?

No. Shovelling or plowing snow onto the road is prohibited in Vaughan, and the City notes that applies to contractors you hire as well.
